What was your strangest craving during your pregnancy? I'm just curious...just for laughs!

Mine is pickle/butter & pickle/peanut butter sandwiches. I don't even like peanut butter. Hamburgers used to be a great love of mine, but now the sight of them makes me queasy!

Ha! Funny you should ask! My mom CRAVED doritos and tuna fish salad sanwiches with a cold pepsi. She ate them just about every day for lunch- I came out with orangey-red hair. Coincidence? I think not! LOL I'm the only kid of 5 that has red hair! (It's either the doritos or I'm the mailman's kid- and my mom ain't claiming that!)

I craved french toast all the time with my first boy. I was making french toast at least 5 times a week. I'd have it for breakfast, lunch, dinner....it didn't matter!

With my second I craved mexican spicey food. I wanted nachos, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, you name it, I wanted it. hehehe... but the little one didn't like it so much- he would kick me like crazy whenever I had spicey! =)

Thanks for the fun question!!!

Unfortunately, I didn't have any weird cravings to tell about. I craved normal foods, like a specific mac & cheese at 1 in the morning! Also apples, and soft chocolate ice cream (during the summer). I used to absolutely LOVE McDonalds cheeseburgers, at any time of day, until I became pregnant. Then I almost couldn't stand them. Now I have a newfound appreciation for Taco Bell instead. (at least until the e-coli incident, anyway...)

There was one time I briefly wondered how peanut butter would taste on a pickle, but I never got around to trying it...

Soap. Yep, and it's not a funky name for some dessert. I mean I had this huge craving for Lever bath soap. I never actually put any in my mouth; but I could fall asleep just sniffing its scent at any time. I worked up the courage to ask my doctor if I was crazy, and he said it's quite common ---there's even a name for it: pica. Weird name (heck --weird craving!) as soon as baby Emma arrived into the world, the craving went away.

With all four of my pregnancies I craved V-8 juice. I hate that stuff but I drank it constantly when I was pregnant. I think the weirdest thing I craved was with my first and I ate saltines, BBQ sauce and pickles. It sounds so gross now but then I couldn't get enough!

I didn't have any weird cravings but I did have a very high tolerance for spicy food. I like moderately spicy food normally - just not too spicy because I have GERD but while I was pregnant I just kept eating it hotter and hotter. Now, the really weird thing was - no GERD. Now my taste for the spicy foods is still high but sadly, the GERD is back and I must take it easy.

It's not really a strange craving. But all I want is oranges and orange juice. I do like orange juice, but I've never drank it like this. I'm putting away over 30 oz a day. I'm lucky, a lot of people get heartburn from that much, but I don't.

With my daughter I always craved cheese fries covered in ranch dressing. Mcdonalds made me sick & Olive Garden made me sick as well. But thats not very strange, the strangest was pizza & applesauce.

So far I haven't had any strange cravings although I can't stand meat, any meat. This baby has made a vegetarian out of me! All I want to eat is vegetable stir fry. Yummy, yummy vegetables!

Paper. Yeah, paper. I was craving it and I knew it wasn't the best thing for me. So I went out and I found these rolling papers that are very light, have no glue and since they are made of rice, I knew they wouldn't be terrible for me.

Corn chips and salsa with a side of steamed broccoli. Together. Blech.

My mom would drop green olives in a cherry icee and then eat it.
