This a classic example of why the liberal media cannot be trusted what you heard was basically half truths and not the whole truth so has to get you upset about what the president is doing which is no different than what past presidents have done.
I hope this will make you understand why conservatives thinks that the media is not doing their job in informing the people in an unbias way.

Actually, signing bills into law is one of the president's jobs. The passing of the law is the realm of the congress and the supreme court decides if it is constitutional, but only if a challenge is mounted. It is not a matter of being allowed.

The United Postal service already had this right. The bill came about because of the mailing of Anthrax through the postal service. I am sure George Bush is not interested in your collection notices, junk mail, or letters you write to family and friends.

Unfortunately, the sources you get your news from have not told you the whole truth.
The fact is, that in his signing statement, he reiterated the long-standing policy that warrantless searches of mail may occur during exigent circumstances. This has ALWAYS been allowed. This type of warrantless search / entry has ALWAYS been allowed to law enforcement for exigent circumstances.
Your news source is woefully underinforming you and you should be wary of trusting them.

Because that's the way Government works. Congress sends legislation to the Prez and he either signs it into law, vetos it, or lets it sit around until it becomes law by default. Didn't they teach you this stuff in like 6th grade?
