Red Blood Cells (RBC) transport Oxygen from our lungs to throughout our body. Average lifetime of a single RBC is about 120 days, so our body needs to continually replace lost RBC's. When the availability of Iron (Ferrous Complex) is low in our body, the body is not able to produce sufficient RBC's. This is called Anemia. Then you will have the first symptom of feeling tired throughout the day and your skin becomes pale. When situation worsens then we faint. So it is important that we eat food that are rich in Iron.

Red blood cells carry oxygen to your cells. A very low red count can be an indication that something is very wrong in your body. This is something that you should discuss with your doctor without delay! There are some very nasty forms of cancer that cause low red cell counts.

your body for some reason isn't reproducing red blood cells. your doctor should be doing some more test to find out the true problem. yes, it is serious. if it gets too low you will have to have a blood transfusion. be careful. get your mom or someone you know and trust to donate their blood for your transfusion (if you need it) be cautious : they are still getting blood from drunks off the street. went into a blood drive bus the other day, and i wouldn't think of letting any of those people give me their blood.

They carry oxygen to the body. You probably do not get enough iron in your diet. I hope you are not a vegetarian. You doctor will give you iron pills to make hemoglobin.
