after that daz thing, oh my god, how did he get past the regional heats let alone the final. i heard on the news earlier, i think morrissy wants to either enter or write the song as he is fed up with the quality of the british entries.

Eurovision in general is brilliant but you're right. Looking at how many talented and excellent sounding artists the UK can boast, what on earth happens when it comes down to choosing our entry? Not only are we faced with a selection of no-hopers to select from, but most of them mime in the studio because they can't actually sing that well, so as soon as it gets to the big night and they have to do it live, it all falls apart.
As for our latest flop, Daz Sampson, I'm surprised that whoever made him a finalist on the UK selection show forgot about the little lesson that Love City Groove taught us about ten years ago - that rap and Eurovision don't mix! I think we're going over the top trying to be too cool when all we really need is a bit of cheerful cheese!

Lets face it...Eurovision is generally ****...the singers/musicians are more often than not awful...but it shouldnt b taken off air for a number of reasons...1)Its the best way 2 find out wots changed in political views over the year (for all u politics lovers out there...personally i dont give a ****)...2) (this is 4 the british) u gotta watch it just 4 Terry Wogan...i dont like the man...but Eurovision he is a legend...he does nuthin but get pissed and rip into evrythin put in front of him...if u have nuthin 2 do on the day of Eurovision..i recommend gettin a lot of laughs out of the man they call Wogan

It's embarrassing that anyone could think that typical our Eurovision entries are representative of English music! That Daz thing last year was AWFUL!!!
But I find the whole show very entertaining on a 'so bad it's good' basis!! And Terry Wogan's commentary throughout is legendary!

It used to be a fairish competition, you know, Greece never voted for Turkey and that sort of thing. Now it's expanded all sorts of political alliances have come into play. Further to that, our acts have been a joke. Sandy Shaw, Cliff Richards, Buck's Fizz (my favourite), Lulu, well they were stars. This lot of late have been a bunch of numpties.

It's good. Don't really care for the England entry, but the winners last year was hilarious. And besides, Abba came out from there. Abba! Nuff said.

eurovision will always be a crashing bore until someone
finally recognises that a neutral scoring system is required.
cut out the old pals bore and it might be half decent.
