if both r different, n seperated means jus living apart, then y do ppl on matrimony sites have an option as "separated"? and wud married persons want to look for proposals?it confuses me..plz give sensible answers

If you are divorced you are legally able to marry again. If you are separated it means that you are no longer with your partner as a couple, probably living apart in different houses etc. If you are separated you are not legally able to marry again, but you can date if you so wish. Some people that are separated do get engaged to other partners before their divorce is through, but they would not legally be allowed to marry until they had been through the divorce process.

The biggest difference is MONEY. You're still legally married while separated - still have insurance benefits, etc. There's a big difference between living apart and being legally separated. Talk to a lawyer.

Divorce is a legal procedure, by which the marriage ends. Separation is the physical distance between couples (i.e. living in different houses or avoiding each other). Use google (define: divorce. define:separation)

Divorced u regain ur legal "single" status.. seperated ur still legally married but living apart.

If you're legally separated, the other person can't get you for being unfaithful during the marriage I think. I don't really care. It's pretty much what God thinks about it to me.

seperated means still legaly married but they live apart
divorced means legally seperated

seperated means just that you are seperated but you cant get re married while if you get divorced you can get re married hope that helps you good luck...

divoesed means legaly seperated everything but seperation means you can rejoin
