Cause when you live as a musician, guitarist also, there is nothing in this world if you can do the best to your fans and you give them the pleasure to see how the heavy metal band should do their concert. And what the musician do is also to express what they feel inside their heart when they do in concert, they feel some aggressive energy, explosive energy and some madness during the concert especially when the fans really enjoy the concert. Then they do to smash their guitar and torture it. And when they do it, they never think about the money, just a madness come in their body mix with sweat and high tension energy in their blood. Then they explode it out through their guitar.

Hi.everyone knows that metal band's guitars aren't cheap.but many of their concerts has samshed guitars!!! it's just for showing the fans their power.and want to show they are CRAZY!!i think.and they wanna make the fans happy and charge.

I really don't know of anyone aside from Pete Townsend or Kurt Cobain who's famous that's is noted for smashing guitars on stage. Get outta the sterotypes man.

no, they are not cheap, but they make a boat load of cash, so replacing them is like a spit in the ocean. They do it cuz they get so pumped up with adrenaline and make a statement. i think is pretty sick myself.

Usually with punk rock, there's not much left of instruments after the show

It's all about rebellion, about sticking the middle finger to the "establishment" and those guys don't have to replace them, they get sponsorship deals from the companies that make them.

Because they think it's cool. And they get the guitars free because they indorse them.

they think its makes them look hard and cool...its also kinda the metal thing to do.
