I am finding myself conflicted with the U.S's method of finding and destroying "suspected" terrorists and their cohorts. In the true "American way", shouldn't we be obtaining these "suspects" and trying them in the court system? Is that not the basis of which our country was established? I am interested in hearing others opinions on this, either for or against.

I could not agree more, if we lived in a civilized world today. Unfortunately, terrorists are not part of a country, nor a department in a country, or in some cases a citizen of a country from where they operate.

Hence the dilemma free nations face. We have entered into a world where religious wars and conflicts are in vogue. Anyone who thinks differently should pay closer attention to our own country and what and who is driving the war in Iraq.

Sectarian violence is nothing more than tribal warfare that has been a part of the Middle East since time began almost. Now it is invading America. A different world than our ancestors envisions, but history does repeat itself for sure in this case.

I do find the bombing of suspected terrorist hard to swallow. For example, they bombed a wedding party, killed the groom and most of the family on the basis that they thought there were suspected terrorist in the midst of the wedding. And later on, sent an appology. There are thousands of these kinds of acts, killing people simply because they have been suspected of doing something. No proof, no evidence. I just want to know how one becomes a suspected terrorist, and who makes that call.

If you view world events as a police action, arrests, trials, jail times make sense.

If you view this as a war (as I do) killing is the way to go. No man dies twice.

Yes. I'm still grappling with why we bombed the he// out of Iraq......again! Other than removing tyrannical dictator, I have seen nothing good come out of that so far.
