With discussions of a national system of healthcare in the wind again, Americans need to read all they can and learn about the systems being suggested. The social security fraud is a lesson to be learned...before blindly getting excited about 'free healthcare'.

Nothing in any country is free. The money comes from somewhere...usually taxes. The government candidates campaign on tax cuts, but promise more social programs. That is just not possible.

Before other social programs go to the vote, it is everyone's civic responsibility to learn about how well their government manages money...instead of the blind faith now given.

Of course we care. That money is deducted from paychecks every week/ month/year. It is supposed to be in a "trust fund". That means that we have the right to believe and expect that money deducted for social security is being held in trust for us.
It is a national retirement and income insurance program and everyonewho has paid into it has a right to recieve a return from it. If the actual cash is not there, it is still owed and becomes yet another part of the national debt.

I care....... its morally wrong for the government to be stealing my money. Americans have a right to property, not good decision. The end does not justify the means. just because you have a great sounding cause doesn't make it OK for you to take my money to do it. If i see a poor man on the street and i give him 20 dollars, that's a good thing, but if i take your 2o dollars without your permission, its called stealing.... the commandment is "thou shalt not steal." Not "Thou shalt not steal, unless you have a majority vote in congress." get your hand out of my pockets and take care of your self, and if i act stupid and blow my money, its my problem, and may God help me
