there are many moons of jupiter
at time when jupiter was first observed the scientists had declared the number of moons of jupiter very less than that of now
as time passed and the invention and improvements in space technology enabled the scientists to see more moons
so it is not sure how many moons does jupiter have
one of the reasons which makes scientists and observers to miss out certain moons is the turbulent atmosphere of jupiter
we can perfectly conclude the no. of moons of jupiter only after very close and accurate survey of jupiter that also by staying very close to it
