Well t takes the average women 6-12 months to get pregnant anyway, so dont worry about it. The best thing to do is stop smoking and drinking alcohol, have a great time trying to get pregnant and the rest will happen naturally!

I don't think age has much to do with it until you get to 40 and above. Everyone and every pregnancy takes different times. You can work out your exact date of ovulation to increase your chances. I am presuming it's your first? I've had 5 including a set of twins and each pregnacy took a different length of time to concieve. The first 10 months the second 3 month the twins 1 month and the fifth 6 months. My daughter has had 2 babies and they were each conceived first month of trying so you can't really plan these things. Doctors tend not to start doing tests till you have been trying for over a year so practise makes perfect as they say so good luck and I have my fingers crossed for you!

The average couple takes about 8 months to get pregnant. (per my fertility doctor). I'm in my mid 20s and my husband is 31. I don't think that your consider "advanced maternal age" Until about 35 or so.

It only takes a second!!!!. Not that I would last only one second!! I think what you mean is "are they less fertile as they get older?" and the answer to that is yes so actually getting pregnant may take longer as they get older. Not that one moment of passion couldn't get them pregnant as soon as they started trying.

When i was 28 my doctor remarked that if I was going to have chilren I should 'get on with it' as women over 30 found it more difficult to conceive. (Hubby wasn't in such a hurry and liooked shocked when I told him) I went on to have 4 children in my 30's. I found it more difficult to NOT conceive.
