My sister wants her b/f to build her 2 saw horses and he doesnt understand. Do they have another name ?

I always heard them called saw horses. He can buy some brackets at the lumber yard along with some 2x 4's and they go together easily. There are plastic saw horses you can buy also that aren't too expensive.

If b/f has difficulty understanding term, he will likely have difficulty building the sawhorses.
They can be purchased rather inexpensively in pairs -- made of plastic, at Lowe's, Home Depot, Sears, etc - see link below.for an example.

For years, they have been made from scrap wood, however, the home made version don't fold and therefore store/transport easily.
