ok i have joined a yahoo mail group for swingers with my hubby.
we have been invited to a party in feb.
we have never swung before and are nervouse
whats the best thing to wear to something as open minded as this?
also if your a swinger what was your first time like?
and why did you do it?

My wife and I originally started swinging so that she could explore her bi-side. We had talked about it in fantasy sense for quite a while, but one time at a party (not swinger) this woman asked if she could kiss my wife, they did, they made-out for awhile, and we kind of went from there. They were swingers, and we all planned a weekend getaway. We had a great time. Driving home we talked and talked and were giddy as two kids. We also did it like bunnies for weeks afterward.
What to wear? Mostly just wear whatever you would wear to any nightclub. If it is a house party just wear what you would if you were going to a non-swinger house party. Swingers are no different than anyone else in this regard. If, later on you feel you can wear more revealing stuff at the parties and clubs, than do. But regular old nightclub attire will always be just fine.

We joined a swingers board (SLS/ Swing Lifestyle) a few months ago but have yet to go to a party because the few that came up conflicted with work, or we had no baby-sitter.
It helps to set ground rules, for example, is it OK to have sex with other people or only 'mess around.' Condoms are a must!!
*What yahoogroup did you join? We've been looking for a yahoogroup for it but searches always turn up the wrong thing.*

I have no suggestions as to what to wear--I will simply offer this advice. You said you've never swung before, so I just urge caution. Sharing intimacy with more people can cause issues. Are you comfortable with the idea of watching your husband being intimate (or carnal?) with another woman--or possibly a man. If you're nervous about swinging in general, just consider all of the possibilities before you go through with it. Good luck.

Why are you asking this question on the GLBT forum? Very few straight swingers hang out here.
However I've got to wonder why you care what you wear? Isn't the point of swinger to get things off and get to business?

wear something that is comfortable but attractive so u feel good.
have a few drinks i find this helps when im going into a new situation, and remember u have nothing to lose if it doesnt go well, u can always try again.

just dress for the occasion, if it is just a few drinks go casual, get some new underwear for the occasion, take condoms, i would imagine the host has plenty but you never know! you will have the time of your life!
