Accessing blocked sites
So u want to access any site which is blocked in ur office ,here are few tips to bypass firewalls and restrictions
* You can try typing the IP address instead of the URL in the address bar. But if the ISP software maps the IP address to the web server (reverse DNS lookup), the website will remain blocked.
* Use a URL redirection service like tinyurl.com or snipurl.com. This sometimes work as the address in the the url box remain the redirect or spoofed url and can bypass the site name keywords
* Use Google Mobile Search. Google display the normal HTML pages as if you are viewing them on a mobile phone. During the translation, Google removes the javascript content and CSS scripts and breaks a longer page into several smaller pages. like when u access this blog through google mobile it will look like this http://www.google.com/gwt/n?u=amitjainonline.blogspot.com
* Enter the URL in Google or Yahoo search and then click the cached page. To retrieve the page more quickly from Google's cache, click "Cached Text Only" while the browser is loading the page from cache.See cached version of this blog , click here
* Using google translation service as a proxy, using google translation service u may access the bolcked sites sometime as well Try like this http://www.google.com/translate?langpair=en|en&u=amitjainonline.blogspot.com
* U can also look for web based proxy sites which are not blocked , they are really good for accessing blocked sites , just google for "web based proxy" and u'll find several proxy web sites
* Another option is bit complicated, u can use http tunnel to access blocked site for this http://www.http-tunnel.com/html/ Go to this site and download the http-tunnel software

I don't know if you are a kid trying to get around parental controls at school or home or if you are at work.
If you are a kid you have no business trying to crack the parental controls. They are in place for a reason.
If your workplace blocks websites it's a matter of whether or not you want to keep your job. A company that has internet blocks on various websites will also be watching and keeping logs of what everyone does on the internet, especially true for companies that have an in-house dedicated IT department. Quite often the in-house IT department will have "proxy" authority to fire an employee violating company policy regarding computers and internet usage.

You can't get past it... I know one way to watch YouTube videos without the school blocking it. And most websites that can give you legit facts won't be blocked, trust me. But if you are trying to use it for entertainment.. then well, good luck.

If you mean blocked locally or blocked regionally, you will need a telnet enabled account that allows you to connect to a site outside of your area; this does work, since I know of people who bypass the local access by using telnet to remote sites. You should know that if it is blocked by local or regional servers, they will almost certainly log any telnet activity.

You might try Tor (with the Tor Firefox Plugin). It's pretty slick.
