YES BUT WHICH DEALER, T MOBILE OR CINGULAR TO GET UNLOCKED. I HAVE CINGULAR NOW AND I HAD AN OLD T MOBILE PHONE (NOKIA 3595). NOW I WANT TO ACTIVATE THE OLD T MOBILE AND USE MY CINGULAR SERVICE.

yes you can use a t mobile phone with cingular service. you need to get the phone unlocked. you can find sites all over the internet that will charge you a small fee to give you the unlock code for your phone. that's what I did when I wanted to unlock my at&t phone and use it under cingular service and I also double checked it with my cousin's t mobile sim card and it worked. plus my current cell is unlocked and it came from some cell service that's in the midwest and not on the west coast and it still works.

Yes the new dealer may unlock it, or NOT. the local dealer is in the business of selling phones and may not be inclined to service a phone they did not sell.

if not, then hit eBay, you can find unlocking stuff there.

buy, use, re-sell....

Just be VERY sure the phone is compatible with the service in YOUR area. some have features that could make them unusable if added or enabled.
