Can you be a great actor and not be famous and rich, hard luck there.
So first decide whether you want to be an actor or not, because being famous or not, comes much later.
Height has never been an impediment for any great actor.
So if you rather be someone else, please do that first, only once you are really sure this is the only thing you rather be, then you are most welcome to take the plunge.
Otherwise you are bound to meet many more people than your parents who would discourage you in the tinsel town, so be prepared and then don't look back, ever.
All the best.

You can be anything you set your mind to be. Do you think being short stopped Gary Coleman from being an actor? No! Neither did all those little blue guys on Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory!! Also, their are some celebrities you haven't thought about either...Paula Abdul is really short. Many out there. You just have to pay attention and tell yourself "If they can do it, than I can to". Good luck...

Have you ever heard of Danny DeVito? Vern Troyer? Sylvester Stallone? There is no set height requirements on acting! Good luck to you.

look its like this, and i dont impart these advice lightly, never mind about height with or without shoes, why not try slipping into your talent and standing on that you will see beyond the advice of your parents ( God knows they love you and want to protect you ) but ask them this question....where they too short to become parents?

Danny DeVito is a great example of using his height to his advantage. You can do it...just work, persevere, and don't give up the dream.
