next time you need to convert fractions into decimals do this.
treat the denominator which is the 8 in 5/8 as 1.0, then divide it by 8, multiply by the nominator which is 5 and you get the answer in decimal.
so 1/4 would be, 1.0 divided by 4, multiply by 1 to get .25
