Before you think of buying property in France at all make absolutly sure you understand the legal requirements.

The tax laws are especially harsh if you are not resident and/or you resell a property in less than six years.

There are no 'cash' sales. You have to use a 'Notaire' that will 'note' the buying price and the selling price.

When you sell, he informs the tax authorities and the money from the sales passes via them.
