We always had fun going on scavenger hunts. We played two ways...1) we had a list of things to find throughout the neighborhood and the first group back with all items wins, or 2) start off with a clue of where the next clue will be, then the next clue gives a clue to the next and so forth until the first group which finds the last clue and they are the winners. Takes up a good amount of time and it was fun and challenging. We also watched movies, danced, played board games, or sometimes just entertained ourselves with no set plans.

I'd take littleminnies^ advice since she is a teen. Get some movies and chips and pizza and leave them to themselves. With proper parental supervision, no funny stuff will go on and the kids will have fun.
Hnestly, 14 was a long time ago for me, but I can pretty much guarantee that I wouldnt want to play set games or do a craft or something, I think pizza and a movie sounds great.

You don't need games for kids over 14 years old just let them play the CDs, dance and eat the food. Just be sure you are present and all are accounable at all times. They have that tendency to sneak away from the party. Let them know before hand any disppearances in twosomes and you will call their parents to pick them up and take them home. You dont' need any troubles.

I'd say that the best thing is to let them get on with it themselves. Maybe rent some movies and just get some junk food in. Teens dont appreciate having a set plan, they would rather things just run there course!
