a blood test at the doctors?
i used a condom but it split, i took 2 home tests and they were negative but when reading some information im not sure i took them at the right time, so i dont know whether to rely on that.
do you think i should get tested at the doctors? because i'd feel like their testing was more reliable.
i took one pregnancy test at home last night and one last week, would these be correct at the timing im meant to wait?
i usually have my periods irregularly, in november it was 13th, december it was the 8th, and i havent yet had one this month, im just getting worried because the condom split and i know its possible for me to be pregnant.
thanks!

On a 28 day cycle you should ahve gotten your period on Dec 5th. So you should give it another couple of days and test with first morning urine. If that doesn't work then go to the Dr and tell them and ask to go for a blood test to be sure.

A blood test should be accurate by now. Most home pregnancy tests would be accurate by now as well as long as you follow package directions using first morning urine.

If you are not pregnant, and you don't want to be, keep in mind that there is a "morning after" option in the USA now. It's available through your physician, by prescription, and it's basically a mega dose birth control pill that will stop you from becoming pregnant by creating a negative environment for any fertilized egg that might have been created during a condom breakage mishap.

You might also want to consider another, more reliable, means of birth control... like the pill... or using a diaphragm, contraceptive gel, foam or vaginal suppositories in addition to condoms for more protection.

Good luck to you...

it is possible. A friend of mine took a home test for 2 weeks and finally had to go to the docotor b/c she could not figure out what else would be happening if she was not pregnant. Doctor told her she got pregnant at a different time during her cycle then most women do and that is why it was taking so long to registar on the test. So blood tests at the doctors office are very conclusive for you.

If you take a pregnancy test before your next missed period, then you always run the risk of a negative or inaccurate result. Those tests run on the presence of a horomone level that only elevates when you become pregnant. But the levels are still not high enough to be read by a urine analysis.A blood test would be ur best option. But my advice is to give it time and see if you miss your next period. But go with the blood test if you need peace of mind.
