2p² + p - 1 = 0
(2p - 1)(p + 1) = 0
p = -1 or ½

3x² - 10x + 3 = 0
(3x - 1)(x - 3) = 0
x = 3 or ⅓

1. 2p^2+p-1=0
=>2p^2+2p-p-1=0
=>2p(p+1)-1(p+1)
=>(p+1)(2p-1)=0
Therfore either p+1=0 or 2p-1=0
Or, p=-1 or 1/2
2.3x^2-10x+3=0
=>3x*2-9x-x+3=0
=>3x(x-3)-1(x-3)=0
=>(x-3)(3x-1)=0
therefore x=3 or 1/3
