There's a problem with the question, it's Irish people "in general" - ya can't say that about any kind of "people" really - individuals are individuals - in general :P
However my best mate is Irish and I know a lot about the place and my experiences over there have been pretty good, they are friendly, warm, open and funny...but in general - well, i'm positive there are plenty of rubbish Irish people too!

I haven't known that many to judge. But, my mother was 1/2 Irish. The family seemed very nice and to be good people. So, I would guess all Irish are. The one thing the family was, though----stubborn. If they believed something (right or wrong), you could not change their minds.

Where is General? It must be quite a small place, I can't find it on a map.
P.S. I'm Irish & I think we're fabulous!

The 4 times I've visited Dublin and it's outskirts the people were wonderfully friendly and kind. I just wish for them that their civil unrest would stop.
