Also, who knows any website that provides stats on maintenance (say, yearly) cost of used cars?

the gasket is cheap less than $30. if you know what your doing put it in yourself if not it will cost no more than $100 if you take it to a shop and $100 is the worst case scenerio

gasket about 10 to 20 bucks and do it yourself its easy
