i wish i could see vcd as well as music,how can make computer good for my kids who is 3 yrs old?

Honestly, unless you plan to play graphics-intensive games, I would suggest buying the cheapest new computer you can find at any respectable retail outlet (e.g. Staples, Best Buy, etc.). Anything with a process speed higher than 2 GHz (1.6 GHz for AMD processors) and with 512 MB of RAM will probably do everything you'll need of it (e-mail, word processing, web browsing) for a while. Granted, there aren't many bragging rights for a system like that, but my Pentium II 333 MHz laptop plays MP3s just fine, and my 1.8 GHz AMD desktop can handle any VCD you can throw at it. Honestly, I'd say don't spend more than $600 USD retail for a computer for your situation, or $700 if it includes a monitor.

To save on upgrades later get 1 Gig Memory at least 80Gig Hard drive 2.8 GHz or higher Processor

a 945chipset motherboard, pentium D at 3.0 Ghz and 4 mb cache, 80GB SATA, 1GB ddr2 ram, a 16x dvd multi drive and of course the rest to your taste
