I received a job offer from this company:

I have tried to look them up, but I just can't be sure about them? Anybody know anything about them? Are they a scam? I definitely don't want to apply if they rip people off.

I received a job offer from this company "Smart Transfer, Inc" at
http://uk-smart-money.info/
I have searched to check if it is a scam as the offer was for "Money Transfer Agent" I am a little wary of anything that involves money transfer, so I wondered if anybody knows anything about this company? If they are legit, I will apply for their positin, but I don't want to work for somebody who rips people off.

I am in the same situation with Michael P. , Have done all the things up to that point. So, Michael P, we need to keep in touch to see what happens.
- I looked at domainwhitepages.com for the domain , uksmarttransfer.com and it was created December 21, 2006! Very recent!!!!! But the other website of smart-transfer.com doesn't even show up as a registered domain.

Also, if you look at other facts pertaining to their info. They first said their managers were Independent Contractors. Then on their Job opportunities website, uksmarttransfer.com/jobs.com it shows you receive medical benefits, employee matching, etc. Independent Contractors do not receive this!!

Another thing, they tried to answer a question via email about paying tax. They said any amount under 10,000 is tax free wages. Tax is not a one size fits all. If your single, I believe the standard deduction is around 5,150 for 2006. Therefore anything above this amount would need to be included in taxable income.

On domainwhitepages.com the person said to have created the uksmarttransfer.com website is Julie Kramerand her email contact is support@my-smart.info. I haven't tried emailing her but I certainly am going to.

A lot of work has gone into all these websites and emails. Also, many spelling mistakes accompanied with bad grammar and fluency. It seems like the commission is awful high for one transfer.

That's all I got. And It smells fishy! They haven't asked for SSN. Once they do, thats the breaking point.

Michael P. or anyone else that has signed up to be a smart transfer manager contact me, ASAP, via email.

Yes, it is. Anything that involves them sending you a check, you depositing in your bank and then wiring them all but 10% is definitely a scam. You would be stealing money from other people without even knowing it. Cause they do what is called "phishing" and they get other people to unknowingly give them their account information.

Check out my blog on some tips to earning money on the Internet, as well as a list of websites I actively use to earn the money. They are 100% free (and I 100% guarantee it!) and scam-free. I have been paid by everyone. From a few of the websites, I have already earned $200 this month.

http://www.swatcash.com/2147 < Using that website alone I have made over $100 in under a week. It's a really great website. You can earn cash as well as Paypal bonuses, Visa Gift Card's and they even have referral contests for cash, as well as giveaways for Nintendo Wii, Ipod Nano and PS3.

Also, if you're interested in making even more money, I have a few more websites I would like to put on the spotlight for you to join:

http://www.dealbarbiepays.com/members/register.php?ref=thisisrightnow
http://hooraymoney.shiftcode.com/members/register.php?ref=thisisrightnow

Between those 2 websites I have made $75 in 3 days already, and I'm making more money each day. Both of them have a lot of offers you can complete, 100% free and trials. They also have referral and earnings contests where you can win cash prizes ranging from $5 to $50.

Sounds like a scam to me. I got the same email and replied. They wanted me to sign a contract to work for them. They also wanted me to get a Bank of America account in order to "do business" which I did. I haven't taken it much further. I want to check with Bank of America first to see if they are familiar with this company.

If you haven't heard of them, can't find anything, and aren't sure...it's bad news.

I saw the same link "offered" yesterday on a question, I looked at the link also...my personal feeling is STEER CLEAR!

Good luck.
