Seems like tension is building once again, The Bush administration is meddling once again, putting sanctions against a country where there is NO PROOF "as of yet" that they are building nuclear weapons. When will it stop? If Iran does build nuclear weapons, if they do build them it will be because some form of stability is needed in the Middle East, Israel has them, they can launch an attack anytime they wish to do so, isn't that like laughing in the face of people in that area. The world allows Israel to carry nuclear weapons why not Iran.

TECHX69 I believe the words "threaten to wipe a country off the map" are souped up words used by the media to instill hate and anger. I'd advise that you listen to President's Ajmedinejab's speaches, all i see are words of wisdom and wanting peace, nothing that I have read so far has led me to believe that this is what the Iranian government will do, if they did that would be the most inhumane act seen in my time.

As an Iranian, i can tell the u that the world we see, is totally different from ur's. usual countries have some allies, a few enemies and neutral with the rest. but here, (the gov. believes)we have almost all the countries as enemies, tryin' to harm us, and a few -really few- as our friends such as Palestine, Syria, Cuba, Venezuela,... the countries closest to us in situation. and that's no good but that doesn't mean there's gonna be a war against Iran. and the reason is simply they can't. aside from the energy role Iran plays, US - as the biggest threat- is far too busy fightin' in different areas to attack Iran, next, Iran can easily hurt US since hurting or rebelling in Afghanistan and Iraq,..... means hurting America now. by the way, Israel doesn't seem to be trying it's chance on Iran, while US is not supporting (in other words, can't support).
but about the second part. i definitely agree. we have the right to have atomic WEAPON not just energy. but to me it doesn't look like the gov. is gonna make one, at least now. and the reason the UN says Israel has the right to threaten -and attack- all the region with atomic weapons but we don't, is the list of richest Americans. US is totally dependent to Israel for economical support, and international committees are of course dependent to America. looks like a chain, doesn't it?
the world we're living in, is not that fair to give everyone, what he has the right to, my friend.

Israel has had nukes since 1956. It's a well-known fact, especially in the diplomatic world. Ahmadinejad has vowed to "wipe Israel off the face of the earth". If you were Israeli, how would you react? Iran recently had local elections for second tier legislature. Ahmadinejad suffered heavy loses because Iranians are basically peaceful people. They do not want to confront the west. They just lost upwards to 800,000 Iranians in a war with Iraq. Why would they want to confront the US when Bush may use nukes? I think it would be insane for both sides to fight a war for any reason. I think it would be crazy for Iran to attack Israel because Israel will strike back in a way the world will surely quake. Bush is as unstable as Ahmadinejad. If I were the leader of Israel, I would take serious the government of Iran's threat to destroy their nation. Is that the proper response to the Palestinian/Israeli question? Both peoples will get their land in 2010 when Israel will set permanent borders. Nuking any land, anywhere is not the answer. Diplomacy is.

Because Isreal doesn't openly threaten to wipe a country off the map like Iran does. They have neither confirmed or denied that they have nuke weapons. You think Iran is a stable country?????If you do then your just as nuts as they are.
The president of Iran is just as nutty as Bush. Both willing to take their marching orders form their respective religious WACKOS. You may be right but we won't be the ones starting it. I think Iran will. Iran is posturing and trying to be the "savior" of Islam and get rid of all those bad infidels. And when they do, just what will the world want us to do? I remember when Bosnia stuff was happening and all Europe could do was say "When is the United States going to do something about this tragic situation". So open your eyes try some objectivity some time.
You even have proof in your answers recieved. "devil Isreal" and such. And you actually want these people to have nukes?

1-The US armed forces are so outstretched that no new war seems plausible in near future.
2-It is up to the Iranian people to deal with their government.
3-Waging war against Iran on the pretext that Iran is developing nuclear weapons is ridiculous while Israel blatantly admits to possessing nuclear bombs and no one gives a care.
4- As far as the human rights issue is concerned there are many countries whose human rights record is much worse than Iran

Finish what you have already begun. Instead of wondering who is next, turn your concern to solutions for Iraq, Afghanistan, now Somalia. When people from other areas of the world view these questions about who is next, it doesn't encourage appreciation for the good things the US does in relief each year. They instead focus on where the US military has made some questionable calls. While it is easy to armchair quarterback, it is the troops that are out there and no matter what your "political"choice may be, they need all of our support. Question direction, but not the support of the troops. Who's next? Many many choices of regimes/dictators to chose from, terrorists behind every tree. Finish what we are in, catch your breath, then worry about "new threat" tomorrow.

i'm against the war, and a democrat. i think of that in case you assuming you're republican, do not want a war...we wont have one. no person needs one, yet the two factors is frightened the different desires to start up one. i think of the two events would desire to communicate extra to understand their suggestions and ideology better. No on needs a war, yet human beings save asserting the different section needs one... this is kinda stupid!
