I've had two done. They were $150 each which included a DVD. Neither one was any good. The first time the baby was head up but facing towards my back. The second time she was head down and facing towards my back. Argh! The baby has to be facing forward to get a good picture of their face. But it was nice to see here hands and feet and that everything looked healthy. I found mine in the yellow pages listed with the ob/gyn physicians. You can also do a search online to see if there is one in your area. And they said to wait until you are at least 21 weeks..I was 25 and 27 weeks when I had mine done. Good Luck!

I had one at 12 weeks as part of my nuchal scan. It was cool, although the baby looked a litle weird and alien like at that stage!
How much they cost depends on when you have one. If you go for a private nuchal scan at 12 weeks or a private anomoly scan at 22 weeks, they will probably offer 3D. A nuchal scan is about £100. An anomoly scan is about £150.
You can have 3D 'bonding' scans later than that where you can really see your baby, but they have no medical reason, and so you are exposing your baby to radiation for no reason. I think they are about £150.

hiya I'm booked for a 4d scan next week and can not wait.
I'm paying £190 but its a great package I'm getting DVD as well as photos. although they do do cheaper packages
Ive already been to the clinic for a gender scan and just couldn't resist going back for the 4d scan.
i use a clinic called baby bond they have centres all over the UK.

They are excellent.. They will show everything from the blood pumping through the child's veins to the heart beating. Not to mention.. 10 fingers - 10 toes.. Everything! As far as getting one. That will be up to your doctor.. It depends on the hospital and unfortunately.. The insurance you carry in most cases. I would call around and ask in your local area..
