Not at all. We are occupiers. Look at the facts as I see them. In 1990 and during the 1980s Iraq was our ally against Iran. We gave them military aide. The real enemy of ours since the 1970s and continues to be our enemy to this day is Iran. Research the hostage incident during the late 1970s early 1980s that ended when Ronald Reagan entered office. I fail to understand why we even invaded Iraq. Maybe Bush is paranoid and if he is he does have the keys to the nuclear football and the planet is in grave danger

What else would you call it...? "A rose by any other name..."
Would it make you "happier" if other euphemisms were used? Would it soothe your conscience or could you sleep better nights knowing that we're not taking care of our own problems while the super rich and powerful are profiteering at the expense of this contrived war? What about our own elderly, retired, disabled and poor? Does it make you feel better not to know about the real issues that are affecting this country, here at home...? Like violence in our streets, our poor educational (and underfunded) system? Corrupt politicians... ridiculous health care costs... why Americans have to subsidize Canada, Mexico and Philippines with what WE pay for our pharmaceuticals...? WHAT would make you happier? Doesn't it bother you that our Constitutional rights are being chipped away by this present administration? What is it that would make YOU happy...? Do you want to believe that all is well and we're living in an utopian society nearing Orwell's "1984"?

Till the time Allied forces do not decide to pull out of Iraq and return their freedom back to Iraqis any one, whether Democrats or Islamic terrorists, who call Americans occupiers would be absolutely correct.
Every nation has a right to mind their own business/freedom like America, Israel, Iraq, UK and Afghanistan.
No double standards please.

We're there and we're occupying the country. What would you want to call it, babysitting? The first six months of the occupation, Rumsfeld and Cheney didn't want people to call the insurgents, insurgents. They thought it gave them creedence by using that term.
Don't like it? Too bad, it's part of taking a dose of reality. I think it is shameful that some people refuse to admit we made some big mistakes.

Not any more shameful than American citizens being called "terrorists" for defending the constitution of the United States.
