Any tips you want to give for makeup for film? Like what are the makeups should be applied to men and how to apply them. How about for the women? How much is too much? How would you know that the makeup is applied correctly so it'll look good on film? How about makeup for different lightings? Anything you wanna share!

i would recommend the Kevin Aucoyn book that is mentioned in another answer. also, i would not use any kind of matte finish foundations, it can look very mask like. also avoid any kind of foundation that has light reflecting properties, it can also make the skin look unnaturally ghost like in photos and film.

you should read Making Faces by Kevyn Aucoin ...he was a beauty artist to the stars..my mom is a makeup artist and loved this book...
