If you are referring to a 24volt system where the batteries are connected in series i.e. + - +- you need to recharge as a working pair with a 24 volt charger.
For something like a pair of 90 A/H batteries (for instance) you will need to charge for about 48 hours at 4 amps, red or +ve lead from charger to +ve connection on first battery, -ve or black lead from charger to -ve connection on second battery ( interlink cable between the two batteries must still be fitted).
If you don't have a 24 volt charger, then use a standard 12volt unit but completely disconnect all connections from the battery and charge one at a time at about 48 hours at 2 amps each.
Allow at least 5 minutes after charging to allow any buildup of hydrogen to dissipate before reconnecting the batteries to the lorry system just incase you have a spark on reconnection.

If you go to a good camping store or car / lorry electrical accessory shop you an get a gadget ( relay ) for this or you can do it yourself with a normal 4 pin relay if you have some knowledge of low volt electrics.

charge one at a time, use a trickle charge anywhere from 5-10 amps for an hour at a time depending on how dead they are. if the batteries are maintenance types then check the level in them first and refill to the proper level (bottom of filler neck)first with distilled water. check them every hour to hour and a half with a load test until they load test above 9.6. id keep it up until they load out at 10 volts then trickle them again for an hour to finish them off. good luck hope they are still good enough to take a charge.

Best to charge them separately, the chargers are usually designed to contend with one at a time to give maximum charge.

Do NOT try to charge them in tandem, I can assure you they would be mischarged and possibly ruined or could even explode if overcharged. If they are already in tandem and would charge together then great(only hook up to one). If not then take the time and charge them seperately.
