Well done for admitting that, The English were no match once again. They are hopeless.

The English team only played as well as Australia let them. There are a lot of good players in the English side, but they were not able to show this due to the pressure applied by the Australians.
Adelaide is the perfect example. For the first 2 days England were all over us, but Australia knew what to do - minimise the lead as much as possible, and then they knew that Warne could exploit the track, which, combined with Englands lack of application on the last day, saw them pull off a victory.
The 2009 series will be interesting - everyone says we will be flogged without Warne and McGrath. They may not be there, but their replacements will have their ruthlesness as this is something that comes with the posession of a baggy green hat.

The Aussies were deserved winners, but let's rewind to early December. England are 1-0 down but have just racked up a big score and have Australia in a little trouble ... sound familiar? It should, it happened at Edgbaston in 2005! If Ashley Giles had held on to an easy catch it would have been 76 for 4 chasing 550 and, who knows, 1-1? Once you get to 2-0 it's very difficult to lift yourself and England did themselves no favours by insisting everything was fine except for the scoreline.
Yes England got creamed and yes they were very poor but I would still expect them to comfortably beat India and the West Indies this summer. If not, then get the knives out!

flintoff and peiterson played well and monty will be great with time....however the big thing your team lacked was working as a team, most your blokes were to busy trying to look like pin-up boys instead of playing the game, at one stage i thought Australia were playing a british boy band rather than an English Test Team....your selectors need to stop choosing good looking private school brats and start searching for quality players.

Yup. Typically British, we win one year at something and the next year fail so miserably that its embarrassing. The rugby was the same.
