This is non-standard English. What it means is that whatever is being described is similar to a "daytime soap opera." Soap operas are those overly-dramatic programs where the storyline continually evolves, with each episode depending on what happened in previous episodes. They are called "soap operas" ("soaps" for short) because, when they first appeared on television, the sponsors were often makers of soaps and detergents, presumably because the viewers were housewives.

There are daytime programs here in America called soap operas (Because in the 50's all of the daytime commercials were for cleaning products) These are generally seen as overly dramatic and slutty characters that live out "romance novel" lives so that housewives (target audience) could live vicariously through them.

It means like a daytime soap opera. Overly dramatic where everybody is having some kind of romantic or family crisis or tawdry affair.

like or in the manner of a soap (soap opera, daytime serial stories, so called because they were originally created to plug soap products, e.g. laundry and dish detergent)

"daytime soaps" are like romance novels put into television format...but worse...there are lots of random and unpredictable events, like a woman discovering that the man she were going to marry but died in a plane crash was actually the sole survivor of the crash, but had amnesia for years, and when he came back she finds out that he was her twin brother.
"daytime soapish" probably means full of drama-queen antics and/or full of cheesy romantic notions.
Think "telenovelas"
