if you buy decent domain names can you make a profit selling them on,for example i own www.fixyourteeth.co.uk and www.wecanbuildit.co.uk ???

Its hard to make good money on domain names, there was news of people buying sites like davidbeckham.co.uk a few years back and they made a few quid but its a dying trade now and large corporations will just take you to court for the name if they can't get it!

make money by selling domain names you need to do web hosting because the two mix and are very cheep to do

You can but there are companies out there who register thousands of names for just such a purpose. Best option is to look up a name on your browser eg www.worldsbestcars.com and see if anything comes up. If it isn't registered then a page not found message will come up otherwise you will be taken to one of these registration companies.

I think its illegal to sell domain names on eBay, and as far as I know, read the T&C of the domain.

I know with the one I have I am not permitted to sell it on to anyone, despite the fact its my own .com address
