When me and my parents went to Europe for thanksgiving, my mom looked for really economic prices and found a great site:

www.europeadestinations.com

We found the tickets for 3 people in Alitalia , and hotel for 6 days in Spain and 5 in Italy for only $3000 some' dollars. For 3 people 11 days. My mom loves that site now! (When we got there it was all perfect. No scams of anything)

I lived in Spain for 4 years...and flew all over Europe from there and also back to the United States. IBERIA Airlines is who I always flew with. They are cheap, efficient, and a great company.

The couple people that I know that fly to Madrid frequently swear by Iberia airlines. I've flown with them myself a few times and I can't complain. Good food, good size seats, good entertainment. I'm not sure if it's the cheapest, though.
