They'll be closer if two years apart. Three at most. So start trying, and much luck to you!

At leat 18 months I would say, no more then 3 years. So start in a few months, at least wait until your 9 month old is a year. I know your missing your daughter being a baby and being pregnant and such, but one would think that you would want to wait awhile, to get to spend some one on one time with your first born.

It is also is not healthy to have children less then a year apart. It raises the risks of several different life threatening health problems, like SIDS.

Good Luck!

i just read an article that suggests there is no right answer to that one!! it basically said:

If you have your second when your first is under 12 months, they won't get jealous etc as they don't have enough of a clue what's going on, however it might be a strain on your body and mean the second is premature.low birth weight (and too late for you anyway).

If you wait until the first is 4 or so, there are fewer sibling-rivalry problems because s/he is old enough to understand and possibly even help and get involved. However, downside to you is your family is spread out and you are dealing with young children for year upon year! Also (depending on your age) there can be a risk of the second baby not being healthy if you wait so long.

Any time in between 1 and 4 and you have more chances of them not getting on etc but it is medically better!

Sorry I kinow that probably wasn't that helpful but at least you can see it is a common dilemma!!!

I think a 1 1/2 yr - 2 yr age gap is perfect. That way they will be close as they grow up. Good luck

I am currently expecting my second child, when this one is born my son will be 20 months old. That's right about where my husband and I were shooting for. Both my husband and I come from families where the kids are about 20 months to 2 years appart and we feel it worked for our families.
