I'm sure you've heard it before but I was once in your shoes too. I'm now 27 and still working at school and certifications in the IT field. If you like working with computers i.e. programming, development ECT then a Computer Science degree might be good for you. Math is key to being a computer engineer.

One thing you can do is just get started because there are alot of crappy classes you have to take whether you like it or not but at least you'll have yourself in a seat somewhere working towards something and you'll have plenty of time to zero in on one specific path. All I can say from my past is just start going before it's to late. Trust me, you'll regret it later and most jobs like where I work (Aerospace and Defense companies) don't hire people without degrees.

Maybe you can find someone--someone honest, kind, not addicted to drugs/smoking, someone who's never been in jail, not abusive etc....and move in with that person. It could be a friend or someone you're dating, etc... That person can help you find a job and get back on track with life. You could live in an apartment and split the rent, to make things easier. You said you know what your interests and talents are, right? So look for a job that involves those interests/talents. Like music? Find a job at a C-D store. Or maybe form a band and start a career :). Are you good at painting? Sell your artwork. I could go on for ages about all the possiblities. Perhaps you should go see a phycologist, they can help you. Need some motivation? Everyday--and that means everyday :), make a list of all the things that will benefit you from whatever it is your doing. You'll never get through anything unless you stick to it! Never give up! Things seem really bad now, but once you figure out what it is you want to do--stick to it! Determination is key. Things will get easier from there. Talking to a friend or someone you trust will help! I sort of already said that, but being alone won't help at all. I'm not sure how much this helped, but I hope you find your way and good luck with everything :)

Take courses related to Math or Computer. Youd probably excel in those subjects. As for Cars... Maybe you could try working as a Car Salesman? Or a Car Mechanic... I know how you feel, I had the same thing happen to me. Pursue the things or subjects that you like for youd excel more on those kinds, than pursuing things you do not want.

First of all you have to regain your confidence and have faith on your ability. To live in this world you have to work and work hard and there is no other option, if your parents have not saved millions and millions for you.
