Nope.. I had to sleep on my right side the whole time. Because of the way he was sitting on my nerves in my back and my arms would fall asleep and cause me a lot of pain. It is only recommended that you sleep on your left side because it will increase blood flow. ( both you and baby) But my baby is Very healthy! Good luck!

That is a good question for what your doctor thinks is best for you based on your history and the health and safety of your baby, but you should know that the further along you get (obviously) the bigger and heavier your abdomen gets. When you lie on the right side, you can put pressure on the inferior vena cava (the large tube that carries all of the blood from the lower 3/4 of your body back to your heart), in essence, cutting off some of that flow and creating a higher blood pressure for you (not necessarily good for the baby either.)

Honey, Mother Nature has designed your body in such a way that there is literally no way that you can lie that will hurt your baby. In fact let your body tell you what to do. When it becomes uncomfortable to lie on your tummy, it is time to lie on your side. When it is uncomfortable to lie flat on your back, don't do it anymore. During the end of your pregnancy it will actually deprive the baby of oxygen, but the discomfort will tell you not to do it for anything but short periods of time. You will be able to tell what to do. This is the beginning of letting your body lead the way, trust yourself to know what to do.
Some people will insist that sleeping on one side is better than the other but at this point there is no real medical proof to make sleeping on one side better than the other during pregnancy. Do what feels good to you. Those long body pillows are wonderful and help you to get comfortable. Toward the end of your pregnancy you may find it helpful to prop yourself up with pillows at night in order to be able to breathe easier.
Take good care of yourself dear. Eat small meals often, rest when you can and pamper yourself every chance you get. Enjoy this precious time.
Blessings to you!

Nope it wont hurt bubs to sleep on your right side, just try to avoid sleeping on your back in a few weeks.Do what feels comfy. If you can get into any sort of comfortable position in a few weeks at all that is. All the best.

Absolutely not. Doctors commonly recommend that women sleep on their left side to help with circulation. But it is perfectly safe to sleep in any position that is comfortable for you. I slept on my stomach until I was 20w. Your body will let you know how not to sleep.

Once you get past 30w, there won't be many comfortable positions to sleep in anymore. My left hip started killing me, so I could barely stand to sleep on that side. Just go with what works!

Hope this helps! =)

No, the baby is well padded and lying on either side is not going to hurt it.

no it wont - baby is protected by amniotic fluid
u shud be sleeping on your side - if u sleep on yr back baby weighs down on yr organs and this cuts down blood flow
however keep a pillow between yr legs to support yr tummy
