The funny thing about the Willow Grove Navy Base is that it is not really in Willow Grove. It's more like on the edge of Warrington. Ilive about 10 minutes from the base and there are lots of apartments nearby. Others have covered some of the cool little towns in the area. Doylestown is about 15 minutes from the base andhas lots of great restaurants and some cool museums.

We do get pretty cold in the winter, rare that we get days that only reach 20 or something. Some winters we get no snow, others we get some pretty good blizzards in March. You can never tell. Spring is great, summer can get a bit hot and humid. All in all a great area. I've been living here my whole life.

Philly is close and is NYC, and the beach, so you can't beat it!

Willow Grove is nice...I went to college the next town over. They have a great mall and lots of shopping centers. It's close to Bucks county, which is pretty affluent. It's also not far from center city Philadelphia (if you like going into the city) and pretty close to New Jersey. The weather is average...typical 4 season weather. Summers aren't terribly hot, though you get an occasional heat streak. Winters usually have some snow in January/February...though this year seems to be much warmer. I had a friend in the Air National Guard who stayed at the base 1 weekend a month...didn't hear anything bad about it, and knowing her I would have if there was! It seems like a great area. Good Luck!

The base is right on route 611. You should enjoy the area. There is alot of new shopping areas around the naval air station. Movie theaters, restaurants with in a mile. You are very close to Doylestown, Lahaska, Newtown, and New Hope. These are beautiful towns. Wooded parks nearby and winding roads. Antique shoppes, even open air markets. There are alot of local events like plays and performances. But these areas arent stuffy. They have a very welcoming attitude toward the motorcycle community. I love spending time in that area. You should enjoy it as long as you take some time to check out what the local area has to offer.

its a pretty nice neighborhood. They also have pretty good schools. I went there for 7th and 8th grade. Also they have a fantastic mall! The weather is actually weird right now. Today it was about 40 or 50 and a couple of days ago it was 70. But it usually is pretty normal. (cold in the winter and hot in the summer). All and all its a pretty good place to go. and we love our troops here so u and ur husband will get plenty of support. If u need any more help let me know. epanulla@yahoo.com

Grew up in this area it's a typical, big suburb in Montgomery Co.
Has alot of chain restaurants, shopping, large movie theater, mall etc.
Philly is about 45 mins away.
New Hope is great on a Sunday afternoon of shopping, eating drinking. Lambertville is on the New Jersey side, has a great flea market. On the Delaware River you can rent canoes and tubes. Lots of state parks in Bucks County.
One of my favorites in the summer is Musikfest in Bethlehem
You'll be about 1 1/2 hrs. from Jersey Shore-my fave Long Beach Island.

you're able to understand the city earlier you open a eating position. I stay in Winnipeg, Canada and that is a city it extremely is commonly used for having diverse vegetarians/vegans. we've 3 efficient vegetarian eating places right here, and diverse eating places which have a separate veggie menu. undergo in thoughts that optimal efficient vegetarian eating places are Asian vegetarian. there is something about that sort of food that works so ideal with veggie "meat" products, like veggie beef and fowl and shrimp and duck etc.
