the nerves pinch all the time to the point that I cant walk, the numbness lasts for alteast 15 mins at a time.

I had this too, and it could be awful. Make sure you get the dr. to check you out. What worked best for me was to have my husband massage from the lower back, down the hip and the thigh. You have to find the trigger place, which for me is a spot below my waist, middle left. All the pain radiates down from there.

I have experienced several severe bouts of pinched sciatica: One instance, as luck....I should say unluck, I was forced to ride my bike 1 1/2 miles to work cuz my car broke down. I did that for a week and my back pain subsided. Another time, I went to a physical therapist and did some stretching exercises. I would lay on my back, bend leg, and pull the other knee toward my chest. Switch. Each time I visited I was able to pull the legs closer to the chest and the pain went away. **I think some Pilates exercises might help** I've tried muscle relaxers but they just made me 'high' and unable to work. I do take Ibus though if I'm in discomfort and that works. I also put the heating pad on my lower back for 20 minutes at a time over 2 hours, as needed. I haven't had severe pain in about a year. That was due to mopping at my job when I hadn't been conditioned for it. I was hurting the next day. I saw the therapist due to a work related injury. Hope my info helped and wasn't something you already knew.

while it is OK to have SOME such symptoms, it does NOT sound good that they should be so strong. You seem yound to have such symptoms (it is generally said that disks start aging from age 25 only) but maybe you did something dumb with your lower back in the past.
anyway, the BEST POSITIONS are:
- lie down with knees up (legs folded)
- or, lie down on your side
- do NOT lie down flat, this puts stress on the lower back
when not lying down:
- hold the stomach in as much as you can (I know you're pregnant, but still)
- avoid remaining immobile, whether sitting or standing up, for more than 30 minutes at a time
there are also various tips on how to avoid stressing your lower back. For example when getting up from your bed, try the following: get to the edge of the bed, lye on your side, then "tip up" i.e. the legs come down while the bust comes up.
your gynaecologist, or a good chiropractor, should have good advice ready.
Numbness that lasts, or pain that is so strong that you can't walk, are normally symptoms of badly pinched spinal cord, which is generally caused by one or more slipped disks. Then these things get really bad they have to be operated - it is not great but it is better than risking permanent nerve damage. Only a back specialist / surgeon can advise you on this, and I guess the natural way would be for your ob/gyn to direct you to such a specialist, if the symptoms are bad.
Yes, I know, you'd much prefer to NOT have to undergo any surgery until after delivery. Good luck

Hi there dear. If it were me I would call my doctor and explain the problem to who ever they let you talk to. They might have some good ideas. After all, that is what they are there for. I personally do not have any good ideas. After 4 pregnancies I never had any luck getting stubborn, chubby babies to move until they were ready to!
Try sitting on a heating pad, that will help with the pain.
Good luck!
Blessings

A chiropractor may be able to offer you some relief. My hip joints became so relaxed during my pregnancy that I saw my chiro weekly. They have a special section of the table that drops free so you can lay on your tummy for an adjustment......Feels nice just to lay on your tummy!

i am about 24 weeks pregnant and was feeling the same thing. for me i couldn't even walk. My fiance thought i was just making it sound worse but it hurt so bad and eventually the baby moved i guess and i have felt a lot better, i thought i was going to have to stop working. maybe talk to your doc and he'll refer you to a chiropractor and then your insurance will pay for it.

Welcome to motherhood......you can try and turn the baby by bothering it, poking or pushing your belly (not too hard of course) I used to hang upsided down off the couch, sometimes it helped.
