It seems like if Nike has a pair of shoes made in china.. all the sudden theres a fake nike shoe with identical design made there., well, I found numerous examples of this with companies making fake Burton Snowboards and Callaway Golf Clubs..it makes me ashamed to buy imported products

It's everywhere. Where there are brand names and designer goods, there will be fakes. They make it because there is a market for it. A lot of people don't care whether it's "fake" or "real", they just want to wear the "brand" so when they walk out on the streets, it looks like they're wearing Nikes. Who's to say if they're real or not? They can't afford the real deal, so they go with exactly the same product, just alot more inferior in quality.

I am a Chinese that lives in Beijing and I belive that the reson that China is stealing designs is because of our education system. In school the teachers only let us do what they want us to do and we had to copy things from books word by word. This result in makeing us hard working and discipline but it also kill of our creative minds. So we can't think of any good ideas and have no chose but to copy and steal ideas from people that do have a creative mind.

Billy's response makes no sense.
The reality is you get what you pay for. A knock-off snowboard won't ride as well. Knock-off clubs won't be the same quality. As anyone who has ever known someone who purchased a knock-off handbag in lower Manhattan knows, those things look ok but they don't last.

what makes you think china is doing anything wrong.? what if its the US that is making their designs?don't worry about where it came from a knock off cheaper than an original I don't see what the problem is .. they have been doing that here in the US for years and almost every country in the world,why is china the bad guy now?
