It is very possible that your mood is caused by your Pill. It's one of the most common side effects together with loss of sex drive. Every woman has her individual side effects as we are all more or less different. Some of us never have any, some have all possible! So my advice is to go see your GP or a Nurse and talk about it and see if you can change to another Pill.
I personally have decided to go off my Pill after being on it for about 9 years (on and off). I've no sex drive, I lost loads of hair etc.
Good luck, I hope you feel better soon!

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and it seems to me that this pill doesn't suit you either. Your hormones are all upside down. The Wrong Diet can also affect you. i suggest you get yourself 'wellwoman' tablets. They contain all the vitamins and minerals us girls need. I don't advise the jab a lot woman have a lot of problems on this. So, either your suffering from a Vitamin and mineral deficiency or its that pill. Yes, its possible you will lose your boyfriend, men do not fully understand what we go through and they don't always offer much support. i am 57, have 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren and my girls have all been through this, one of them is a diabetic. What you are going through now is nothing to what you are going to get, wait till you get to the menopausal stage. So enjoy life whilst you can, come on cheer up, things are really not that bad, life is what we make it. Try St Johns Wart its good for depression and so is Valerian there is a night time tablet and a daytime one. The health shop sells all that i have mentioned. i am always available if you need me. They take a little while to work so be patients.

I got depressed when I was on the depo injection and apparently many people do. It also takes a few months for it to completely clear from your system, so if it doesnt agree with you then you're stuck with its effects for some time after. It took me about a year to get back to normal, and it zapped my libido. I have found that all hormone pills I tried killed my libido and messed with my happiness so now I just use condoms. They have worked very well for me and I won't go back to taking pills/injections. My body has enough of its own to deal with! ;-) You may also find that you just dont get along with pills and may be so much happier with an alternative method. Its worth trying, but give your body a few months to get over the pills to give it a fair try.

Yah, I've been on Lortab (a really strong pain killer) just for a week or so and I'm so tired I'm not myself and depressed as well. It's like, when I'm around my boyfriend, he's totally the greatest but here I am thinking he hates me for some reason but knowing he doesn't but not being able to get over the fact that he seems upset w/me (when actually he's upset b/c I'm messed up). I don't understand it and think it's the medication b/c I wasn't this crazy before being on Lortab. Yah, my boyfriend is going crazy w/me acting like this. It's not everyday but it's more often than ever now that I've been on this medication. I'm going to doctor soon and hopefully she will decide I can go off of it.

Dont get the jab............once you have had it, if it doesn't agree with you, you are stuck with the effects for a few months.

Keep going and getting the pill changed untill one suits. Remember the pill takes 6 months to settle down into your cycle, so give them a chance to work.

Please please please don't have the injection if you are at risk of depression. Progesterone only contraceptives are far more likely to cause depression. The big problem with the injection is that once it's in your system, if it causes depression it is stuck in your body for several weeks whereas on the pill you can come off it and the hormones get out of your system in several days. What about the mirena coil? It only releases progestin (synthetic version of progesterone) within the womb, so doesn't cause depression in the same way - though it affects everyone differently.
