Check out The Black Keys, The Beasts of Bourbon (from Aus, brilliant), Digger and the Pussycats (also from Aus), The Heart Attacks, John Spencer Blues Explosion, British India, The Johnnys, The Georgia Satellites, The latest Primal Scream album (you'd be surprised, very different from their other stuff), umm, I'll add more if I think of any - good luck and happy listening!

I wish. The closest thing you're gonna hear to them are The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, The Black Keys, Wolfmother. They all have a really bluesy sound to them.

Big Sugar, first one that comes to mind.
Tragically Hip, especially the older stuff. The Hip can sound rather quirky, but they're definitely blues-based (check "New Orleans is Sinking" and try telling me otherwise!), and they hardly ever veer from the traditional guitars/bass/drums setup.
