I guess I am the only one that is shocked that a pregnant woman could actually be disappointed because of the sex of the baby she is carrying. There are so many women who cannot conceive and would give the world just to feel their own baby moving inside of them. They have to accept the fact that they will never hold their own flesh and blood in their arms. Then there are the women who go in for a routine scan only to find out that their baby has died, or is suffering from some serious birth defect.
It makes it very hard for there to be any sympathy for someone who is upset that their baby is not the correct sex.
My dear Aunt who died of breast cancer used to tell me that no matter how badly you wanted one sex or the other, when you hold your baby in your arms and look into those precious eyes you will wonder how God knew exactly what you REALLY wanted.
I hope that will be the case for you.
It is pretty hard for an ultra sound technician to see a penis where one does not exist. I would not hope or assume that the baby might be a girl.
Please love the blessed gift that you have been given and do not waste one moment wishing he had been a girl. He is what he was meant to be.
I hope that you are just happy to have a healthy baby.
Bless you
Lady Trinity~

It's easier to see when it's a boy than if it's a girl, since boy parts do stick out and are noticable. At 27 weeks, I'd say chances are really good that the doc was correct in reading the scan.
You need to concentrate on the fact that you're having a child at all, and that its health is the only thing that really matters.

There is always a chance that the ultrasound was wrong, but I think you need to just worry about it being healthy. I am pregnant with my 4th, the scan says it may be a girl and i couldnt have been happier because everything else was normal. I wanted a boy as I have 3 girls already. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy

Keep your hopes up there is a chance that it could be a girl becuase when my best friend had her ultra sound early they told her that she was having a boy and she ended up having a baby girl. If they dont properly scan you they can pick up the clitoris on a baby girl and thing that it is a develping penis on a baby boy because in the early stages of pregnancy they look similar

Yes, there is a chance you are carrying a girl, but only if the technician made a mistake. I'm going in for my scan soon and I really want another girl but I just "know" it's a boy. I guess we can become more tomboyish.....I haven't the first clue how to raise a boy!!!

Ive been told I'm having a boy and I'm very pleased!!!
i was told its harder to get it wrong if its a boy he has more to show than a girl.
you may feel a bit sad now but when you hold your son for the 1st time trust me you will feel so much love you will forget that you wanted a girl, any baby is a blessing

There is always a chance but probably unlikely. Boys are more easily identified than girls! Did they mention any special features?! Boys are wonderful! My second child is a boy and I really desperately wanted another girl. He has been the best thing ever and we have the most special bond. You will see, it is so different than with a girl! It will all be good no matter how it turns out and I wish you the best..............

if the scan had said it was a girl there could be a chance it was wrong the baby could be in a position where the genitalia could not be seen or hidden behind a leg or something.
don't worry when you little boy is born you'll wonder why you even wanted a girl

I was told at my ultra sound I was having a girl but when I went back 2 weeks later they said def. a boy. it was my third son. I did cry for a couple of days but was fine by the time he was born and I just love him to bits. You will feel better soon.
