Antonio Lucio Vivaldi
March 4, 1678 - July 28 (or 27), 1741
Vivaldi toured Venice, playing violin with his father Battista (a professional violinist). Later on, he became a "master of violin" at an orphanage, Pio Ospedale della Pietà, or Devout Hospital of Mercy. His main responsibility at this orphange was to educate boys whose families were not able to raise them. He was a violin instructor there and wrote many concertos, cantatas, and sacred music.
I think violin was his main instrument
=/ Sorry! I'm not sure! I'll post it when I happen to find out!
Vivaldi actually composed music for an extensive variety of instruments. I'll list a few: Violin (important!!), Recorder, Mandolin, Brass (Trumpet, French Horn), Woodwinds (Basoon, Oboe, Flute), Cello/ He is well known for his concertos
The Four Seasons (one of my personal favorites! & considered to be his most famous piece), The Faithful Shepherd, Concerto for Four Violins and Violoncello,

He replaced into called "The crimson priest" by way of colour of his hair. His music, for some reason, replaced into dropped from the classical repertoire, and (Hallelujah) has been revived in the final 50 years. This genius, who has given exhilaration to tens of millions, tragically died in poverty. 1685-1741 R.I.P..
