Hello girlie!!!! CONGRATS ON YOUR ULTRASOUND!!! Can I just say first WOW! I just love ultrasounds and your little one is such the cutie - don't they look so tiny??? My scan at 10 weeks 3 days was similar in the sense that look how much room bub has to move around in! And seeing bub bumping around and moving was amazing in all that space! At my 12 Week 2 Days scan bub was so much more defined in features and the room in the sac was quite a bit lessened! I just posted a question so if you want to check out what your little one will look like at 12 Weeks you can check it out! As I too have had the all important "12 Week" scan, I too won't get another one until 18 or 20 weeks - it is going to be ETERNITY - but I guess now that I am 13 weeks tomorrow it is 7 weeks away. And yes, that is a tiny foot at the bottom right! Thanks for posting your ultrasound pic - that was so great to see! I was waiting for you to come back online so that I could see how your ultrasound went - glad it went well. By the way, we both had a scan on Friday! X

depends on the hospital - I was able to find out with my second child because I was able to convince them that I didn't care if it was a boy or girl I just wanted a baby! Some refuse because some people are disappointed culturally if it is a girl so they stop telling people. Check with yours before you go. If your partner is going ask if you can film the scanning....or they may offer a video service like ours did where you can buy the video of the scan.....worth asking!!

It depends...I had a private scan at 12 weeks and the consultant said he could tell me the sex if I wanted. However, the NHS generally won't tell you until 20 weeks because they don't want to spend the time looking. They will say it's not possible to tell until then, even though it usually is.

The scrotum are usually not disended by this time, that is why they wait until at least 20 weeks. Also, if it is done this early the tech can make an error in judging the sex. Be patient, and always talk to your doctor about these things.

It is more of a scan to see how the baby was doing. When I was pregnant, they did one at 20 weeks and my daughter would NOT show me what she was, so no worries.

no, it's too early to tell for sure. generally, 20 weeks is a good time, and again, don't get too excited because it depends on the baby's position and some would just cross their legs.... no but seriously, wait until after 20 weeks...

Yes, they should be able to accurately sex the child if it's a boy. If it's a girl, they will not be sure unless they get a perfect shot at the child's groin.

Rarely at this stage they will be able to tell you, but even as you go on further, the little one may not be turned the right way to see.
I hope all will go fine for you and works out they way you want it..Best of luck..

they wt be able to tell you just yet because everything is just starting to grow and if it was a boy its genitals wouldnt have formed yet, basicially your 15 week scan is just to check that baby is fine and everything is developing ok.
