loved it! very funny, even if you try not to look away!
there are a lot of movies like Borat... they're called mock documentaries or mockumentaries.
you should look some of them up... like "Best in Show"
"A Mighty Wind", "This is Spinal Tap"

It's great to see people being made uncomfortable trying to account for their way of living and their views. It mainly works for Americans because they don't get irony and they are very trusting.
I did think it was a bit much claiming his village had a rapist though
