i had a dream last night and in the dream i felt like i had been there before. like i have dreamed that exact same dream 4 or 5 times in the last 8 years . have you ever done that ? and why does that happen ?

yes. especially nightmares. sometimes i even have a dream continuation ie. i dream a certain dream last night only to have it continued the next night.
as to why i dunno. i think it has something to do with your psychological state of being : you're worried about something, some unfinished business in the past then your subconscious brain cannot let go, something about your present state is bothering you...could be lots. I'm no dream expert. but from what i'ver read this is what i could gather.

absolutely. it is so weird having a dream you know that you had nearly a year ago. I'm not sure why it happens. i fall asleep to movies a lot, and my dreams end up being scripted to the movies. maybe if i fall asleep to the same movie on seperate occasions, and by coincidence i dream it in the exact manner that i have before.

Yeah, it happens to me also. I sometimes get thisn dream where am in a place where i've been before. It's really weird but i believe theres's a big meaning to it. Let's hop[e and see what others say.
Could it mean that you are in the same same state in lifw, no progress? Don't know.

well it has happened to me quite offen actually and for the life of me i can never remember the dream i'm not sure what it means but maybe if i knew what the dream was then maybe i could help u out a bit more sorry i couldn't be more help
