It is normal for babies to cluster feed at night. It doesn't mean you don't have enough milk. If baby is havig at least 6 wet diapers each day and gaining weight, your supply is fine.

Does he cry because he's hungry or because he's 12 days previous and new to the international? Many newborns basically pick to suck for hours on end. let them. they don't inevitably pick milk. Your milk grant hasn't even been conventional yet. The more effective you stimulate your nipples (fantastically consisting of your son sucking) the more effective milk you'll make. second suitable option is pumping to stimulate milk production. you extremely won't be able to get some thing out once you pump? try pumping halfway between his feedings. If he drains you at a feeding and also you're pumping accurate after, for sure you wont get some thing. Do you experience your letdown reflex once you pump? perchance it would want to help to imagine about the toddler or have him accurate next to you so that you'll be able to listen him/smell him etc. no matter if no longer some thing comes out, the stimulation helps advance milk production. I honestly have also heard somewhat about mom's milk tea...got here upon at total meals style shops. no longer particular how good it really is although. be sure you're nicely hydrated and ingesting wholesome nicely balanced food (even although you somewhat have time with a 12 day previous!) good success. If the toddler has lost weight or no longer received what become lost contained in the first day or 2, the pediatrician would have you ever supplement besides. you may be going to a 2-week appt. quickly accurate? some women folk basically won't be able to breastfeed.

Most moms produce more milk during the day. My daughter is almost 17 months old and there are STILL nights where she is on me all night even after a big dinner and a bedtime snack. Depending on the age of the baby, night nursing is usually more for comfort than anything else. My daughter nurses non-stop when she is teething for example.

I would say that you need to keep up your water intake but also it depends on how many feeds your baby is having and how old she is.If your baby is sleeping well then your body will naturally get used to not having that feed at night so you wont produce as much milk at that particular time.If you express at the time your daughter feeds and build your supply up then you will get into a routine. Maybe your babe is extra cheeky and wanting you around and acting up.....again depending on age.good luck

Your milk production decreases at night, which is why she sucks you dry.Try increasing your water intake during the day and make sure you are having some water(not a ton,you wanna sleep ) when you nurse her at night
