Hi, I'm thinking about looking into laser/lasik eye surgery for astigmatism in my right eye. Any one here done it before with good results? Last time I talked to my doc, he said he didn't recommend it. Something about it eventually coming back.

There are several variables as to whether or not you're a candidate for laser eye surgery. This includes the thickness of your cornea, and which procedure is able to be used for sever short-sightedness. The only one who can tell you for sure is the person who may do your laser eye surgery. No one on this forum can...

they recommend that there are no changes in the eye for at least 12 mths

You can improve your eyesight by simply learning, naturally and practicing the correct way to see for a few small minutes a day. I followed this method and now my vision is perfect http://improve-vision.kyma.info

Here are some eye exercises to help improving your eyesight.
Step 1 of eye exercises: Give a soothing massage to your face as well as the area around your eyes. Rub your temples and forehead gently, you can use aromatic oil to add the relaxation. Feel the tension go away from your mind and body.
Step 2 of eye exercises: After relaxing your eyes, start with exercises to strengthen the eyes muscles. For example, lower and raise your eyebrows or rolling your eyes slowly. The shut your eyes and cover them with your palms. While training your eye muscles, it is important to give them a relaxing condition. “Vision Without Glasses” - program you'll be taken by the hand, it shows you how to improve your vision naturally, permanent and complete solution.

eye laser surgery is very expensive and is not appropriate for everyone. It depends on if you are going to change your habit, such as reading at dim night, reading at bed or sit too close to watch TV. If you cannot change those habit even after the surgery it will mostly come back.

Personally I have not had it yet but I am going to next month. My son had his done, and his wife, many of my friends also. Their testimonial is what made my mind up to having mine done in the Philippines as it cost $1,000 for both eyes. The goal of lazer/lasik is 20/20 vision up to 25/25

I don't recommend it also..

Imagine they use laser to burn you cornea...

Anything wrong, you loose your sight.

You better try the contact Lens which can correct your eye site (It change the curve of your cornea), but it is only temporary, check with your eye doctor..

Or better don't do anything to it...

I know of two people who were nearly blind and can see very well now. One of them remarked that he didn't know what color their pet parrot was until he had the surgery.
