As an industry rule a sequel will only make about 75%-80% of the original. There have been exceptions of course, but this is the general rule.

Soooo, if the first film was a loser, there is no way you would get funding to make another one.

I loved the old series of the hulk they were believable although they had limited special effects - they did the best with what they had
the modern hulk just didn't work for me
