I'm not really sure if anyone can explain that. sounds like maybe some one went an amusement park when they were little and had a crush on one the characters.

MTV had a special about it...maybe True Life. Basically, it's people who dress in furry animal costumes...and have sex. (They also showed them doing some "normal" household chores. Not so normal in a costume, but whatever. ) A lot of these people had many stuffed animals around the house, but it wasn't sex with the stuffed animals. Just people dressed as animals. People spent a lot of money on very elaborate costumes and they even showed a "convention" where a whole bunch of "plushies" got together. The show was really hilarious and somewhat disturbing, check youtube there's got to be a video about it somewhere,

It's "plushophilia," and it's made up as a joke. If it were real, it would involve committing sexual acts (i.e., masturbating) with stuffed animals.
Some members of the furry fandom dress up as animals in order to have sexual intercourse, but that is not the same thing. The people on MTV obviously didn't do their research--no surprise.

I have heard of it, its people who like to have sex with other people dressed as stuffed animals - eg bear or bunny etc.
Think The Shining, or more recently 30 seconds to mars The Kill clip based on the Shining.
Seriously weird but some people do it?!?!!?!
